Stop being trapped in "Windows" and "Gates". It's time to open up. Let us bridge the gap between being slave of Windows to master of Linux
Linuxication is a 24 hours workshop (assuming time to be 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM everyday) conducted by MCUG with the aim of providing the students an insight of the open source operating system. It is a three day workshop where students are taught each and every thing right from installation of the latest version of Ubuntu to all basic Linux commands, GUI Exploration, TERMINAL, Basic Networking, Programming in Linux. The event starts with an introductory talk from an industry expert. Also concepts of makefile, TAR, Shell Scripting are taught to students so that they can master their OS. It also includes the fun part where source code edition of FIREFOX and VLC is taught. This event has witnessed an overwhelming response over the years with the latest 2015 event getting a maximum registration of 300 students across the city.
